Hm, well, I suppose the word "attitude" might be a little strong, rather I just meant the modus operandi of so many humans. We walk forward on this planet like some huge machine of consumption and destruction in some futile attempts to puzzle everything together, like insects trying to understand nuclear physics, often in very garish and ugly self-adornments. So there you have it, a dead human (assumingly), lying on the ground with red colour slathered over the nails that were used to claw up a thing of real beauty from the ground, it dies along with the human, withering in its hand.. A symbol for the condition of the planet in many ways.

So there you have it, your photo is a striking ode to human ugliness. ;P

Haha thanks for your comment.
Ok the model is doing well, so in fact: yeah you are right.
But I can assure you no flower was harmed for the shoot either. The "dirt" is just a heap of soil from the garden. Some dead weed is stuck in there.
What kind of attitude do you mean?

I feel more sad about the flower than the person for some reason, probably because of the red nail polish, it reflects an attitude. :P

I like your avatar btw.

I love the soft and gentle focus on the hand holding the dirt. You made great use of soft pastel colors and depth of field to frame your subject. I also adore the message of this photo. Beautiful and fascinating.
Congrats on the DD! :D

This is interesting!
I think for me you made the right decision!
Comparing the pictures, the Walking the Rails series focuses more on the model. This piece is more about the idea and what people interprete into it.

I can't remember what drew me to your gallery - but I know that I just couldn't decide which of your pieces to suggest! :faint: I was actually stuck between this piece and a few from your Laura - Walking the rails series. All I knew was that you deserved a DD. :iconlachoirplz:

That is exactly what I had in mind. Censorship. It is very encouraging to see that people are finding a way around this madness.
This is what I love about dA you find people like yourself from everywhere around the world. Not only certain spots.

Keep it up!

I can't explain it well, but I feel like she could be me. It's probably not what you had in mind, but the dirt in her hand for me symbolizes a great effort, one that has not been in vain, if not a complete success. At the same time, she's lying on the ground, like she's drained. And finally, the blurry atmosphere, almost misty, makes everything vague. So all of that, is kind of my story. Oh and her nakedness, gives her a purity of character which I love.

It IS great to feel that despite all the oppression here, we can still communicate with artists all around the world! :) (of course I'm using a proxifier, dA is fltered in Iran!)

This is a wonderful shot! I love the focus on her hand with the dirt and the softness surrounding it. Great lighting, great detail, great placement and dof. That little bit of color on her nails adds so much to this. Fantastic job!:D

Sometimes it is so great to see how many countries this site reaches!
I have to admit people from Iran are rare. :)

Beautiful and tragic at the same time.
Here in the morning mist, lies the body of a young female.
Once budding with life..
Now lifeless as a flower, that has been prematurely uprooted....
